Spring fever already?

With unseasonally warm temperatures, even die-hard hermits are beginning to get Spring fever!
Usually people start thinking about updating and beautifying their homes around April time, but there are some who wish to get a jump on the rest.  I have noticed more people out and about this year than ever before in late January/early February and our phones are ringing off the hook with homeowners asking for estimates on painting and pressure washing their homes.
There is a definite sense of pride and achievement that comes with making a change or bringing new color to a home.  In this month's issue of This Old House magazine there are several pages of pictures of new colors to paint front doors in.  Gorgeous bright yellow, teal, red and blue, and also pastels - pale green, ocean spray and peach.  Possibilities are only limited by your own imagination.
A change in the color of trimwork will also bring new life to a home.  I love being in the painting business, because I love what you can do with paint!  Whether you do it yourself or hire a professional, painting is one of the most joyful activities you can do for youself and your home.
Start planning your painting now and - don't be afraid of color!
